Below you will find answers to Frequently Asked Questions about tickets, registration, payment and cancellations.


How do I register?

ESDC 2015 ticketing is through a website called GetInvited. Registration for Ballroom Passes and Workshops is now open. Registration for competitions will open on 1st July 2015. To register click here.

What are my payment options?

You can pay online with your credit or debit card. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Can I buy tickets and register for competitions at the door?

Yes, if there are places available. We expect certain tickets and competitions to sell out, so we recommend you register online to guarantee your place. Door sales will be in cash only.

How do I check-in when I arrive? Do I need to print out my ticket?

When you arrive at the hotel, head to the ESDC Registration Desk (it’s in “the Atrium”). The staff at the desk will check you in and give you your event pack. GetInvited, the ticketing system you have used to buy ESDC Ballroom Passes and Workshop Passes, is very nifty, so you have some choices on how you will check in:

1. Just tell us your name and we’ll find you! If you upload a photo to your GetInvited account, then you can tell us your name and we’ll know it’s you by your smiling face! If you don’t upload a photo, you will need to show us some ID to prove who you are.

2. Download & print your PDF ticket(s). The link was sent to you in your confirmation email or you can login to GetInvited anytime with your email address, to download your tickets from the website.

3. Download the GetInvited app for your smartphone, to use your phone to check-in at the event.

4. Download your ESDC ticket(s) to your Passbook app on your Apple device and use that to check-in.

Can I get a refund? Can I transfer my pass?

No refunds will be given under any circumstances. However, Ballroom Passes, Workshop Passes and competition entry fees are FULLY TRANSFERABLE, so if you cannot get to ESDC 2015 you can give or sell your pass to a friend or transfer your competition entry into someone else’s name. If you do not attend, there are no refunds after the event and no credits will be given towards future events. If you miss a competition, there will be no refund of the entry fees and no credits will be given. No exceptions.

Do you offer cancellation insurance? Should I get travel insurance?

No, we do not offer cancellation insurance on ESDC tickets. We highly recommend that you arrange travel insurance, including cancellation insurance to protect yourself against loss and cancellation penalties if you cancel your trip for a reason covered by the insurance policy of your choice. It is the responsibility of the attendee to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the event. The organisers cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property. All insurance policies are unique so please read all insurance policy documents very carefully to ensure that you fully understand the options available to you.
