Hotel FAQ

Below you will find answers to Frequently Asked Questions about the hotel and accommodation.

General Hotel Questions

What are the hotel check-in and check-out times?

Accommodation check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am.

Are there ATM or cash facilities at the hotel?

All major credit cards are accepted at the hotel and hotel restaurants/bars. ESDC desks will only accept cash (GBP£). But there is a cash machine in the hotel lobby, and a currency exchange service at the hotel reception.

What are the in-room facilities in my hotel room?

Mini bar, personal safe for valuables, iron and trouser press, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi, modem connection, air conditioning, complimentary bottled water, docking station, sound-proof rooms, satellite TV and pay movies.

What are the food and dining options?

There are three dining options at the hotel: Trunk (restaurant and bar), Annayu (Indian restaurant) and Bijou Bar (cafe and bar), plus a coffee stand in the lobby. The hotel restaurants all offer options for dietary restrictions including vegetarians. There is also 24 hour room service for hotel guests. Alternatively there is a 24-hour MacDonalds next door to the hotel, two Starbucks coffee shops within 10 minutes walk, and other food options along Bath Road. Bath Road is a long street of hotels, and each hotel has it’s own cafes and restaurants, so there are plenty of options.

Bookings & Cancellations

I have an accommodation related question. Who should I contact?

All guest room reservations and enquiries are being handled this year by the hotel itself, not by ESDC. For general hotel and accommodation enquiries, please contact the hotel directly on +44 (0)20 8759 6311 (front reception desk) or by email on reshtrw@radisson.com
For room configuration enquiries or guest changes to an existing booking, contact Letizia Door on DORRL@radisson.com

Can I cancel my hotel booking? Can I get a refund? Can I transfer the reservation?

If you make a hotel reservation at our event hotel – the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow – using our ESDC 2015 package deal, then your reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you cancel, you are liable for 100% of the booking amount. However, it may be possible to transfer your reservation into a different name. For help with this, contact Letizia Door at the Radisson on dorrl@radisson.com

Alternatively, you can hop in a taxi (black cab) to the hotel – it will cost around £10.

How do I get to the hotel from central London?

If travelling on the London Underground, take the Piccadilly line to “Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3”. Alternatively, you can take the Heathrow Express train from Paddington Station to “Terminals 1 & 3”. Then follow the above directions for a free bus to the hotel. Room Types

What does single/double/twin/triple mean? How many beds are in those rooms?

Single: a room for one person, with one bed
Double: a room for two people, with one bed
Twin: a room for two people, with two beds
Triple: a room for three people. Depending on the room type there may be three single beds, or a double bed plus a single bed.

What are the different room types? Standard, Deluxe, Business Class, Junior Suite, etc.

The most important thing to know is that all the rooms in the hotel are beautiful 4-star hotel rooms, and all have the same in-room facilities. Every room in the hotel is luxury. The main difference between room types is just size. The Deluxe and Business Class rooms are slightly larger than the Standard rooms. The Junior Suite is a suite with two rooms and a larger bathroom.

How many people are allowed to stay in a hotel room?

It’s important that the number of people sleeping in your hotel room matches the number of people on your hotel reservation. A room booked “for single use” means one person only. A room booked “for double use” means for two people only (with a double or king size bed). A room booked “for twin use” means two people only (with two single beds). A room booked “for triple use” means three people only (and may have three single beds, or a double/king bed plus one single bed). The hotel will not tolerate additional people sleeping in the hotel rooms. Fire codes require that the number of people on the room reservation matches the number of people actually sleeping in the room. We love the Radisson and hope to continue using this beautiful hotel for swing dance events – please help us maintain a good relationship with the hotel by respecting and obeying these rules.
